How AutoScanTrade fits together - scan, arm, trade, exit, review
AutoScanTrade works as one loop in five steps: the scanner finds the movers, you arm a symbol, you trade it or the desk does, the exits manage the position, and every trade is recorded. Once you know the loop, every window on the desk makes sense.

How the desk fits together
AutoScanTrade works as one loop, in five steps. Once you know the five steps, every window on the desk makes sense, so let's walk through them, one at a time.
1. The scanner finds movers
Step one: the scanner. It watches the live market data from your own data subscription, and lists the stocks that pass your filters: price, gap, volume and relative volume. Each session, premarket, market hours and after hours, keeps its own filter set.
2. You arm a symbol
Step two: you arm a symbol. Click a scanner row, or type any ticker into the box beside WATCH / TRADE. That is how you reach a stock your filters did not surface. From then on, the trading panel, the ladder and the chart all follow that stock.
3. You trade it, or the desk does
Step three: the trade. Press BUY or SHORT, or a two-key hotkey, and the order goes at once. Or, in the full desk, arm the automation, and it enters when your own rules match.
4. Exits on every price
Step four: exits. Take profit, stop loss and trailing stops run inside the software, for every open position, whether you entered it by hand or the automation did. The ladder shows each level, and what it is worth.
5. Everything is recorded
Step five: review. Each closed trade is written to the journal, with its costs, so you can look back over days, sessions and profiles later. The order log also keeps every order sent, every fill and every refusal, with the broker's exact reply.
Paper first, live when ready
And all five steps work in paper mode, against live prices, with a virtual wallet, before any real money is involved. When you are ready, the same loop runs live, through your own broker.
