Ladder levels - take profit, stop loss, peak, and dragging them

Each level on the ladder is a labelled line, with its dollar value in the column on the right: the profit or loss at that price, before costs. So you never have to work out what a stop will cost you. TAKE PROFIT: where the take-profit exit sits.

Every level, labelled

Each level on the ladder is a labelled line, with its dollar value in the column on the right: the profit or loss at that price, before costs. So you never have to work out what a stop will cost you.

The levels

TAKE PROFIT: where the take-profit exit sits. STOP LOSS: where the stop-loss exit sits. PEAK: the best price the trade has reached since entry. TRAIL AFTER: how far in profit the trade must go before the trailing stop starts. And the trail stop itself, once it is running. It only ever moves in your favour.

More levels

With a step lock, NEXT STEP is the price where the stop moves one more step. And RESTING is the rail for a manual limit entry, when it is on.

Drag to change

Hover over TAKE PROFIT, STOP LOSS, TRAIL AFTER or RESTING, and drag it up or down. A dashed preview line follows the mouse; release, and the new level is set. Dragging changes that side's setting: the same number you see in the MANUAL TRADING window. It is one setting, not a copy.

Guarded

A take profit behind the entry, or a stop in front of it, is refused, and the order log says why. Dragging the resting rail sets its price, and turns it on.

Software levels

These are software levels: they live on your computer, not at your broker. If the program is not running, nothing protects the position.

The same levels on the chart

And the chart draws exactly the same levels on the candles, because it reads them from the ladder. The two always agree.
