Arming a side
Arm a side with AUTO - LONG or SHORT on the trading panel, or with ARM LONG AUTO TRADING and ARM SHORT AUTO TRADING in the AUTO/BOT window. Each side has its own settings, its own arm switch, and its own profile. So you can arm the long side alone, and leave the short side off.
Arming asks
Arming first checks the risk limits, and then asks you, describing that side's own settings, so you know exactly what you are switching on. The band above the buttons reads AUTO TRADING: OFF until a side is armed.
Frozen while armed
While a side is armed, its settings boxes are locked, if Freeze settings while armed is ticked, so a value cannot change under a running strategy. Untick it to edit while armed, at your own risk. Freeze settings while armed sits on the risk discipline row.
Disarming never asks
Disarming never asks, and never touches open positions. Their stops, targets and trailing carry on, because disarming is about new entries only.
Never by accident
Arming is never restored by loading a profile, or by restarting the program. Switching from paper to live disarms both sides, so the first live automatic entry always needs a conscious arm from you. A live fleet slot is not controlled by these buttons: STOP FLEET or LIQUIDATE ALL stops it. SYSTEM: OFF stops every automatic entry on the desk, the fleet included. Manual orders and FLATTEN ALL still work, whatever SYSTEM says.
The full stop
And LIQUIDATE ALL disarms both engines and every fleet slot, cancels every open order, and closes every position, in one press. FLATTEN ALL closes every position, and automation stays armed.
