How the automation decides - every condition, in order

An automatic entry only happens when six things are true at once: SYSTEM is on, the side is armed, the stock is on your scanner, an entry rule fires, every gate you ticked agrees, and the risk limits allow it. This video takes them in order.

Six conditions

The automatic engines enter trades for you, when your rules match. But an automatic entry only happens when six things are all true at once. Here they are, in order.

1. SYSTEM, 2. armed

One: SYSTEM is on, the switch for the whole application. Two: that side is armed, long or short, each on its own. Nothing enters by itself until you arm it, and arming always asks you first.

3. On your scanner

Three: the stock is on the scanner, so it passed your filters. Every automatic entry must come from a stock your own filters surfaced. The WATCH / TRADE box is your own manual way into a stock the filters missed.

4. A rule fires

Four: an entry rule fires, and every entry filter you ticked agrees. Rules start a trade; gates can only refuse one.

5. Risk, 6. halts and borrow

Five: the risk limits allow a new entry: the daily loss, the trade count, the losing streak, positions per side, the per-stock limits, and the day target. Max daily loss stops new entries for the rest of the day, and it survives restarts. Risk limits only ever block new entries; they never block an exit. In paper they are not applied, so check them again before you switch to live. Six: the stock is not halted, and for a short, it can be borrowed.

Then the exits take over

Once a position is open, the exits manage it, whether it was entered automatically or by hand. When the desk is live and a side is armed, entries go to your broker without asking, Take profit, stop loss and trailing stops are software stops, on your own computer. so test your settings in paper first. Rules are tools for your own decisions, not recommendations.
