Your filters are the rule
Buy on scanner hit, or Short on scanner hit, takes the first scanner hit on a stock, once per session. The scanner filters themselves are the entry rule. It pairs well with Confirm after, to sit out the first shakeout. Short on scanner hit does the same job on the short side.
Which hit: First hit is
First hit is decides which hit it may take. filters: the first moment of the session the stock cleared all your filters. Or any: the first new-high minute, however small. It is saved with the profile, so two fleet slots can run the two rules side by side, on the same tape. Filters means the first bar that cleared your scanner filters: price band, gap, window volume, RVOL and daily-rate floor.
High rel vol hit
Buy on high rel vol hit, on the long side, takes the first High Rel Vol, five minutes, five times alert on a stock, once per session. It uses the scanner's own alert: volume at least five times normal over five minutes.
PRE only and +AH
PRE only limits scanner-hit entries to the premarket, and +AH also allows them after hours, from four o'clock New York time. Market hours stay excluded, if that is how you trade.
Exclusive by design
Buy on scanner hit excludes First breakout only: the window stops you ticking a combination that contradicts itself. And like every rule, it still needs the side armed, and every gate you ticked to agree. The First hit is dropdown is live only while the scanner-hit box is ticked.
Watch it work
In paper, arm the long side and watch the scanner: each first hit that passes your gates becomes an entry, and every refusal is written in the order log, with the reason.
