Paper, on the clock
The paper schedule starts a paper session by itself, while the program is open. Right-click SCHED in the header to open it; a left-click turns it on or off. It starts paper only, so no broker account or live code is involved. The paper wallet starts at one thousand dollars with six times buying power.
Days and times
Tick Schedule enabled, and pick the days. Start and Stop are times on your own computer's clock. A blank stop time means it never stops paper by itself. Times are read from your computer's clock, so a wrong clock moves every run.
Start the fleet too
At the start time, the desk switches paper on, and if Start FLEET is ticked, starts the fleet with its last-used set of slots. At the stop time, it switches paper off. The fleet starts only the slots that are filled. The schedule starts the last set you saved with SAVE SET.
Never live
The schedule only works while the program is open, and it never arms live trading: that is always your own action. It is a way to make sure your paper tests run every day, at the same time, without you. Switching to live still needs your own code, with no open positions and the fleet stopped. Risk discipline is not applied in paper, so scheduled paper runs skip it. Paper fills come from the prices the desk sees, so they differ from live.
Set the fleet first
Fill the slots you want, and press SAVE SET in the fleet window: that is the set the schedule starts. Then each day's paper results land in the journal, under each profile's name. If the program closes, open positions stay open and nothing protects them.
