Every setting, one window
AUTO/BOT, on the WINDOWS row, opens every automation setting. Long side on the left, short side on the right, in the same order on both sides, and each one decides that side only. Every field and caption has hover help in the program.
Five groups
Settings are grouped into ENTRY: how and when a side enters, TRIGGER: the fade and retest rules, GATES: the filters that can refuse an entry, TRAIL: take profit, stop loss and trailing stops, and EXITS: the other exits, adding, and scaling out.
The arming row
The bottom of each side is where the automation is actually switched on: ARM LONG AUTO TRADING, or ARM SHORT, with that side's Auto exit tick, and its Size. Under that sits the chart-signal row, BUY or SHORT ON CHART SIGNAL.
Size: fixed or risk
Each side has a Size, in shares per entry, or a Size mode of Risk dollars, where the share count is worked out so that a stop-out loses about that many dollars, never more than Max shares. On a live short, the size is also capped by your locates. Max shares is the ceiling that Risk dollars sizing may never exceed.
Sound and profiles
The long side carries the sound picker and its volume. Sound sets the main alert voice and its volume, up to 150 percent. SOUNDS opens the per-event settings, and TEST lets you hear each one. And at the very bottom: the profile row, to load, save and delete whole sets of settings, and on the short side, Locates for armed.
Explore it in paper
The next videos in this series take each group in turn. The best way to learn them is to change one setting at a time, in paper, and watch what it does.
