Tape confirm and the volume, gap and band vetoes

Tape confirm

Tick Tape confirm, and the live tape must agree before any automatic entry fires. Both of its tests must pass. Vol x: volume in your window is at least this multiple of normal for that time of day. Move percent: price has moved at least this far the trade's way, over the last five minutes. Zero in a box drops that half. And if the desk cannot measure the volume, it refuses, rather than letting the trade through.

One-minute volume floors

Min one-minute vol K refuses an automatic entry when the last closed one-minute candle traded under that many thousand shares. Min forming vol K does the same for the minute still forming. They work side by side, and zero is off. The box is in thousands of shares: fifty means 50,000. A minute with no print at all counts as traded zero. A stock with no candle of its own yet is refused while this is on.

The gap veto

Gap veto refuses an automatic entry when the stock's gap is at or above Gap veto percent. Twenty percent is the same threshold that paints a scanner row green, so the colour and the veto can never disagree.

Band guard

With Halt rules ticked, Band guard refuses an automatic entry while the official limit-up, limit-down band against it is closer than this percentage. Estimated bands never block. Band guard is off when its box is zero.

Manual clicks are yours

All of these refuse automated entries only. Your own clicks are never refused by them, and every refusal is written in the order log, with the number that refused it. Your own orders still pass the risk limits when the desk is live.
